Opt for combed processes (removes short fibers for smoother, tighter yarns) and high-twist yarns (fibers bind tightly). Prefer tight weaves with fine gauges (12+ gauge) that have minimal light transmittance; steer clear of loose, thick-gauge knits or open patterns.

Choose sweaters with smooth, lint-free surfaces and neat stitching. Look for labels specifying "combed" or "long-staple" and avoid low-cost fast-fashion items.
